Parachute
What goes up must come down. And, if possible, slowly (at around 4 m/sec or 15 km/h).

You never know where it will fall back down, even possibly in another country (there are 4 other countries in a radius of less than 100 km around the launchpad here in Belgium). This is the really hazardous part of the mission but also one of the most exciting ones. You need to chase the capsule to get it back during what we call the 'fox hunt'.

We bought the Totex parachutes with the balloons and, after calculations, chose ones with a diameter of 190 cm when opened. These slow down the 1.4 kg capsule safely to the ground.
